Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern the purchase and use of the kveik apps (folo, Døgn, tjent and Møt). By buying or using an app, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
The provider is Nico Hülscher, Boverstraße 19C, 45473 Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany — [email protected]. Full legal details are in the Impressum.
2. What we sell
kveik is the umbrella brand for small, local-first macOS apps for client work. Each app is bought once — there is no subscription; tjent includes 24 months of updates, then legal updates cost €49/year. The apps run under this shared privacy model:
- App data is stored and processed locally by default.
- Update and licence checks, plus Møt signaling, exchange operational metadata.
- Møt media is peer-to-peer by default with encrypted TURN relay fallback.
- Optional ElevenLabs transcription uploads audio. Cloud AI and Claude Code send selected context to their providers; Claude Code reaches Anthropic through the local CLI.
- Configured webhooks send selected payloads. Connected local MCP clients can access suite data; the client’s own network and privacy behavior applies.
3. Orders & prices
A contract is formed once you complete checkout. The purchase runs through our payment provider, whose terms additionally apply. The prices shown at the time of your order apply, including statutory VAT where applicable; the exact amount is shown before you confirm the purchase.
4. Delivery
The apps are digital products delivered as a download after payment; a licence key is sent by email.
5. Licence
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own personal or business purposes. You may not resell or rent the licence, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
6. Withdrawal & refunds
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details and our voluntary refund policy are in the Refund Policy. For digital content delivered immediately, the right of withdrawal expires once you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose it.
7. Warranty
Statutory warranty rights apply to consumers. We aim to fix defects within a reasonable time, but cannot guarantee that an app is fit for any particular purpose or available without interruption.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded.
9. Updates
Bug fixes and minor updates are included in the purchase price. Major new versions may be offered as a separate paid product.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product or the law changes. The current version always lives at this URL, with the date above.
11. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
